Childhood Christmas Memories

Every Year Christmas brings with it the nostalgia of the childhood memories. The memories of the happiness of gifts and candies, of glitter and guests.

I still have fresh in my mind the memories of the nights when I couldn't sleep because I was so excited for Santa to come and fill my stocking with lots of chocolates and gifts that I had listed down for me and my siblings.

I also remember wearing the warm Santa Hat and bundling up in the warm furry coat in the chilling December Night and running around the whole society merrily.

It was such a fun decorating the Christmas tree with the beautiful and shiny decorative with the hope that Santa will place all the gifts around the sparkling Christmas Tree only if it is well decorated and colourful.

The aroma of the yummy cake is still alive and activates my taste buds which I used to have at my friends place. My friend’s mother used to spend hours to bake such a delicious and mouth-watering cake.

Even though we are Hindus, my father followed the Santa Theory during Christmas and brought smiles to our faces. He motivated us for the whole year to work hard and earn those gifts though...!!

I feel each and every festival brings with it an opportunity of bringing the family together and collecting memories for lifetime. Still whenever we all are together - when I visit my mother’s place - we ought to recollect these memories and multiply them with today's happiness.

Christmas brings to me smiles, the aroma, the twinkling lights and the accumulated memories every year. Wish you all such beautiful memories this Christmas..!!

Merry Christmas to all my readers..!!
