Personality Development for Students - The Whale Theory

I happened to enter this world of Personality Development during my employment at various academic institutes where I served as a Management Faculty. I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to work on the process of developing and enhancing the personality of management students as per industry standards which were analysed and established.

The remark made by many industrialists that, “The students are not unemployed; they are 

unemployable” made it essential to set out our attention on Personality Development. The values that the 

students bring with themselves have to be presented in effectively to the employer which would work as the garnish on the delicious platter served. Personality Development simply means the growth and development of the thinking, perception, attitude, nature, mood, behaviour and activities that differentiate among people. 

Human Beings are like the giant Whales in the massive ocean who have to keep swimming even when they sleep so that they survive in the environment that they live in. In the same way Personality Development helps human beings to realize the importance of keep swimming which means performing all the activities which are necessary to make their presence felt by making noticeable influence on the people they are dealing with so that survive in the Job Market.

Students should be made ready to swim in the massive ocean like the whale does by  introducing them to the environment that exists. Students would be industry ready when you show them the true picture of what and how the corporate world works. It is important that they carry out the much required self analysis and get answers on what are areas of improvement that they should be focusing on. Is it Communication Skills or Present-ability or Domain Knowledge? It could be Interpersonal Skill required to enjoy better relationships at workplace or it may be Goal Setting required for streamlining Short Term or Long Term Goals or even learning the techniques to Crack an Interview.

Inculcating the above mentioned skills will not only make the students competitive for today but also help enhance the speed at which you raise through your career ladder. Human Beings have to understand the fact that, "The Whale Can't Stop Swimming."
